Justin Beckham

Justin is an American who has been living and working in Tanzania since 1999. An historian with degrees from Yale University, he has worked on various research projects and in the development sector. Fluent in Swahili and German, he brings to the table decades of experience working in Tanzania. He undertook a dozens of research projects in the following areas: water, education, public health, HIV, nutrition, maternal & child health, mapping, agriculture, entrepreneur, gender-based violence, linguistics and anthropology.

Susan Hoge (BEckham)

Susan is a native German with Bachelor Degrees in Child & Youth Studies and Special Education and a Master of Education. She has spent time in Tanzania examining the educational system and volunteering with an organization that helps HIV orphans to stay integrated in their communities and to get an education. Along with education she is passionate about enabling women to reach their full potential and opening American and European markets for the amazing products made by talented Tanzanians.

Susan and Justin currently reside with some of their children in Germany.

 

Paulo Kateme

Born and raised in Tanzania, Paulo has 30 years of experience working with languages and education. He has taught Swahili to hundreds of diplomats, missionaries, students, and volunteers of all age groups and abilities. He is passionate about helping people learn Swahili as a tool to bring together all 120 ethnic groups in Tanzania and all of East Africa, and as a way for visitors to appreciate Tanzanian culture and to be able to communicate.

Harry Lambert

A third-year medical student in New York, Harry first fell in love with medicine while volunteering in a burn unit in Iringa, Tanzania. He is passionate about helping to bring capacity and knowledge to an overburdened system and in using research to improve the health of Tanzanians.
