Vehicle Rental Policies
Vehicles are assumed to be rented for both on and off-tarmac road use. If a renter wishes to rent a vehicle for tarmac-only use, they will receive a discount of $30 per day or $180 per week, depending on the length of their rental. This discount only applies for rentals that include a driver.
All vehicles are rented “as-is,” including fuel levels. Vehicles are to be returned in the same condition as they left, excluding normal wear and tear. If a vehicle is rented with a half-tank of fuel, the vehicle is expected to be returned with the same level of fuel.
The Toyota Passenger Bus (44-pax) may only be rented with a driver and cannot be driven off-road (tarmac roads only).
Vehicles rented without a driver will require a security deposit of $250. The security deposit will be returned in full upon satisfactory return of the vehicle. Any damage is the responsibility of the renter and shall be deducted from the security deposit at return. **Vehicles will only be rented without a driver on a case-by-case basis.
All rentals must be paid in cash. USD or TSH accepted. If the renter wishes to pay in Tanzanian Shillings, the price will be converted at the current exchange rate at time of rental.
