Ngorogoro Crater
6-Day Northern Circuit Safari
Day 1
It’s a reasonable start today, as we head for the park in the morning to get you the maximum amount of time in the park.
Morning: We’ll pick you up at Kilimanjaro airport or your hotel around 8am, before setting off to the Serengeti.
It’s about a 5 hour drive to the park. We’ll stop for lunch en-route, before arriving at the Serengeti gate around 1-2pm and completing check-in formalities there.
Afternoon: After entering the park, we’ll do an afternoon game drive en-route to our accommodation for the night.
You’ll have dinner at camp, before retiring to your lodgings for the night.

Day 2
Today is an opportunity to roam across the Serengeti’s vast expanses.
Morning: After breakfast, you’ll head out for a full day game drive across the park. With a packed lunch, you can roam much further from camp than you could if you had to return for lunch. Your guide will take you deep into the park, helping you to see less commonly seen species of animals.
You’ll enjoy your packed lunch at one of the many picnic sites scattered throughout the park.
Afternoon: You’ll continue your game drive late into the afternoon, before heading back to camp for dinner and rest.

Day 3
Today is all about the Ngorogoro Crater, a unique ecosystem and one that has very strict access limits.
Morning: After breakfast, you’ll depart your camp in the Serengeti and head for Ngorogoro. Once you’ve arrived at the crater, we will enter and drive for the maximum allowed 6 hours. We’ll enjoy a packed lunch inside the crater.
Afternoon: We’ll drive in the crater until around 4pm, enjoying the beautiful vistas and incredible wildlife. After we leave the crater, we’ll drive to Lake Manyara National Park, where we’ll spend the night at camp.

You’ll have the opportunity to experience Lake Manyara National Park today—a much wetter landscape that allows for excellent wildlife viewing (the park has an enormous number of hippos!)
Morning: You’ll eat breakfast in camp before setting out for a morning game drive. You’ll drive through the dense jungle in the heart of the park, as well as the beautiful lake scenery.
We’ll return to camp for a hot lunch and a rest before heading out for an afternoon game drive.
Afternoon: We’ll enjoy a late afternoon and evening game drive, experiencing the wildlife of Lake Manyara as they go about their evening routines.
Dinner will again be at your lodgings in Lake Manyara.

Day 4
We’ll transition today from the lush, humid environment of Lake Manyara for the more sparse, dry environment of Tarangire National Park.
Morning: After breakfast, we’ll drive from Lake Manyara to Tarangire National Park, a roughly 3 hour journey. We’ll eat a packed lunch upon arrival at the park gate, while your guide completes check-in formalities.
Afternoon: Entering the park after lunch, we’ll go on an afternoon and evening game drive throughout Tarangire National Park. A beautiful park, you’ll enjoy wide open spaces and excellent wildlife viewing.
In the evening, we’ll head to your camp for the night, where you’ll have dinner and an opportunity to catch a good night’s sleep.

Day 5
On your last day, you’ll enjoy the sights of Tarangire one last time before you head back to Arusha.
Morning: You’ll start early today for a sunrise game drive in Tarangire. Dawn and the early hours of daylight are an excellent time for wildlife viewing and will give you a final opportunity to observe the animals as they start (or end!) their day.
After your sunrise game drive, you’ll return to camp for breakfast and your luggage.
The remainder of the morning will be spent in transit back to Arusha. We’ll drop you at your hotel or Kilimanjaro airport in the early afternoon.
